We have a number of leathers and colors to choose from. All leathers are unique and have some variety of character, scaring and/or blemish. Please note- colors and leather will vary from piece to piece. We try to match up with your desires but each hide of leather is different and could vary in texture, color and appearance.

PREMIUM REBIND COLORS

KALEIDOSCOPE TUSCANIA COWHIDE

The Kaleidescope Tuscania line is one of the premium cowhide leathers our supplier offers. Most colors have a beautiful marbled pattern which is sure to make for a beautiful bible. Hides are aniline-dyed with a distressed effect.

CHEVRY GOATSKIN

Founded in 1903 in the South of Tarn and set in the beautiful surroundings of the “Montagne Noire” (the black mountains), the tannery Alran S.A.S. has developed a vast expertise in the tanning of goat skins. They are well renown in the community and have many articles used for handbags, small leather goods and watch straps

Chevre “Sully” is one of Alran’s top articles and is produced in a special 23-step process which takes 4 weeks to produce. One of the most critical processes involves hand boarding each hide to increase the depth and structure of the grain, providing a unique and distinctive look.

This goat leather is their top grade. The leather is tanned in a full veg-tanned crust and then retanned and dyed with some mineral tannage to add softness and strength at thinner thicknesses. This process is the key to achieving its distinct grain, soft yet structured feel and even consistent color.

When you combine the unique grain, great temper, durability and beautiful consistent colors across the entire hide, you will see why it is a staple amongst the top brands.

BADALASSI CARLO WAXY COWHIDE

Waxy Vegetable Tanned Leather comes from the Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Tuscany, Italy. They are well known for their traditional methods of vegetable tanning with tree barks that go back 100’s of years.

PREMIUM LEATHER LINERS

Each premium bible is bound with a quality leather outter as well as a quality leather liner. Currently, we offer two different types of leather liners: cowhide and lambskin. Please take a look at our options to custom build your bible.
